Who we are
Vacom Computing provides IT support and computer repairs from Eastbourne. We are responsible for the personal details you give us through this website. You can reach us at support@vacomcomputing.co.uk or on 07872 697245.
What we collect and why
- Enquiry form. Your name, email address, phone number, business name, town or postcode and your message. We use them to reply, arrange a call or visit, and quote for the work.
- Business onboarding form. Sent by direct link to new business customers. It asks for business and billing contacts, the people authorised to make requests, and notes about your IT. We use it to set up your account and support you.
- Phone calls and emails. The details you give us when you get in touch directly.
We use these details because you have asked us for help, because we have a contract with you, or because we need them to run the business properly. We do not sell your details or pass them to anyone else for marketing.
Who handles the information for us
- Netlify hosts this website and receives the forms for us. Netlify is a US company, so form details may be processed outside the UK under its standard safeguards.
- Google Analytics, only if you choose "Allow analytics". See cookies below.
Nothing else on this site is loaded from other companies: the pictures, icons and styling all come from our own website.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 24 months. Customer, job and invoice records are kept for up to six years, which tax and accounting rules require.
Cookies
This site works without cookies. If you choose "Allow analytics", Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga so we can see which pages and enquiry buttons are used. Advertising features are switched off. Nothing is sent to Google Analytics unless you allow it, and you can change your mind at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Your choice is remembered in your own browser.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete them, or object to how we use them. Email support@vacomcomputing.co.uk and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
